Snapshot: Shannon's Bantam
Havlan says that this quilt is without equal . . . the most popular quilt with the public and judges that she has ever made. The image is of her granddaugher, Shannon. The overalls that Shannon wears are actually hers although she only wore them once. The fictitious image shows Shannon having her "snapshot" taken with her award-winning bantam rooster. The facial image begins with a photo, but it not a photo transfer. Her face is highly painted to match the other "skin" areas on the quilt.
