Not So Far East

The subjects of Asian art inspired many of the quilt's appliqued blocks. The bamboo grid was a design element I had always wanted to put on a quilt. This piece is hand appliqued and hand-quilted. It is embellished with glass cabochons for water droplets, fabric paints for color and shine, and glitter to enhance the quilting lines. This is the first time I used glue on one of my quilts.
